Shabebik is founded in Beirut as a cultural, social, and charitable non-profit.
About Shabebik
A community organization built around human potential.
Founded in Beirut in 2018, Shabebik brings people and partners together to turn hardship into opportunity and local ideas into durable progress.

Founder’s message
A vision born from community need.
After witnessing the hardships faced by families in her community, Faten Zein stepped away from a private-sector leadership career to focus fully on humanitarian and community work. Shabebik began with a group of young women and men who shared a belief in Lebanon’s ability to build a better future through solidarity, opportunity, and collective action.
Behind every closed door, there are windows opening.
What we believe
No community should be defined by its challenges.
Young people have the potential to lead.
Women can transform communities.
Entrepreneurs create opportunity.
Partnerships multiply impact.
Lasting change is what people are empowered to build for themselves.
Our journey
Programs expand into women’s empowerment, livelihoods, and community participation.
Emergency response supports communities through economic crisis, the Beirut port explosion, COVID-19, and conflict.
A broader development mission connects humanitarian response with leadership, education, health, and local economic opportunity.
